Hanoi, July 28, 2025 – After more than four months of meaningful engagement during Phase 1, HAPLAST GROUP, a leading packaging manufacturer in Vietnam, officially launched Phase 2 of its internal corporate culture transformation initiative – “The Blazing Sun.” The objective is clear: to ensure every HAPPER learns, understands, remembers, and practices the company’s 3 Core Values and 8 Cultural Behaviors in everyday work and interactions.

The kick-off ceremony was held at the company’s headquarters with the attendance of the Board of Directors and nearly 70 HAPPERs representing departments from production, operations, office, and sales.

The Journey Begins with a Belief

Ms. Pham Thi Hai Thanh, Founder & CEO of HAPLAST, opened the ceremony with a powerful message:

“A culture project is not something we showcase – it’s something we live.
It’s not for display – it’s for action. It’s not meant for a few – it belongs to the collective spirit.
I don’t place faith in slogans. I place faith in people. Because I believe each person here is a flame. And when we burn together, we create a blazing sun.”

Her message sparked inspiration across the hall, reaffirming the company’s belief in values-driven leadership and collective purpose.

Phase 1: Awakening the Inner Flame

Launched in March 2025, Phase 1 focused on laying the groundwork for cultural alignment and employee engagement. Highlights include:

  • The launch of “25 Culture CEOs 1600” – internal champions of cultural behavior.
  • A peer-to-peer recognition program with over 3,000 appreciation cards exchanged.
  • Embedding culture into daily operations: team meetings, shift briefings, internal communications, and more.

This phase reinforced the idea that every employee is not just part of the company – but a core link in building a values-driven organization.

During the Phase 2 kick-off, multiple leaders shared practical stories of how culture has translated into behavior:

  • Ms. Duong – Head of Sales: “Our team leaders didn’t wait for instructions. They took charge because we believed: We will hit our sales target.”
  • Mr. Thin – Production Shift Leader: “Though our team is small, when everyone acts like the work is theirs, transformation happens.”
  • Mr. Hai – Maintenance Technician: “At the factory, we keep our word. Say A, do A. No detours.”
  • Ms. Phuong – HR: “I thought I was inspiring people through speeches. But now I realize: true inspiration starts with listening.”

Phase 2 focuses on operationalizing HAPLAST’s culture into measurable actions:

“Transforming 3 Core Values and 8 Cultural Behaviors into daily, observable behavior.”

Departments like Quality Management and Marketing unveiled team-specific behaviors:

  • Quality: “No blame – solve it together” / “Proactive control – not reactive correction”
  • Marketing: “Keep promises – follow through” / “Inspire with actions, not words”

These behaviors were born through collaborative reflection and dialogue, not top-down directives. Culture CEOs will support every team in embedding and owning these behaviors through routine processes.
